In an infancy, Elric brothers, older brother Edward and younger brother Alphonse, did biggest taboo of alchemy, a human alchemy, to raise their mother. But the alchemy was failed and as a price, Edward lost his left leg and Alphonse lost his whole body. Edward could somehow take Alphonse's soul root in an armor by letting his right arm price, but notice their own foolishness. After that, Edward's left leg and right arm are replaced with automail, a type of advanced prosthetic limb.When Edward became 12 years old, he became a national alchemist and set out with Alphonse to find a philosopher's stone to recover their bodies. But there are lots of trial. Mysterious enemy, a homunculus that call Elric brothers "sacrifice" and Scar that attacks national alchemists, hit Elric brothers. And foreigners that have a same aim appeared, brothers' journey became eventful. Brothers keep finding the way how to recover their bodies.
